(“Our Energy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) may collect from or about you when you visit OurEnergy.org (the "Site") and any other online services that contain an authorized link or reference to this Policy (the “Services”), why we collect it, and what we may do with it.

Information we collect

You may browse much of the Site without directly providing personal information. When you interact with certain features, however, you may choose to provide information to us.

‍Information you give us ‍

‍‍If you simply visit the Site, you generally don’t need to tell us who you are. If you choose to interact with us, however, you may provide information such as your:

  • Name;
  • Email address;
  • Mailing or billing address;
  • Telephone number;

  • Other information you choose to provide.

For example, we may collect information when you sign up for campaign updates, contact us, make a donation, purchase merchandise, or otherwise submit information through the Site.

‍Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site may collect some information automatically when you visit. That can include things like your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, cookie or devise identifiers, advertising identifiers, referral information, pages you visit, links you click, and the approximate date, time, and location of your visit.

We may collect this information using cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies. Please see the Cookies section for additional information.

‍Information we receive from other sources

We may receive personal information from companies that help us provide services you request, including merchandise purchases or donations.

For example, Shopify, Give Lively, KAK Global Link, and payment processors may provide us with information such as your name, contact information, shipping address, items purchased, donation or purchase amount, transaction date and status, and payment confirmation, or other limited transaction information.

We may also receive information from analytics, advertising, and technology providers about interactions with our Site and campaign, subject to your privacy and cookie choices.

Sharing of information

We may share information with service providers that perform services for us; when required by law, legal process, or governmental request; when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of Our Energy, the Site, or others; or in connection with a merger, reorganization, transfer, or other change involving all or part of Our Energy. We do not sell personal information for money.

Email

If you sign up to hear from us, we’ll use the information you provide to send you news, updates, and related communications.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email. No hard feelings.

We may still send non-marketing messages when necessary – for example, communications about a donation, purchase, or other transaction you initiated.

Donations and purchases

If you choose to donate or purchase merchandise through services linked from the Site, you may be directed to a third-party platform that collects and processes information needed to complete your transaction. Those services collect and process information needed to complete your transaction and may also process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc., and orders are fulfilled by KAK Global Link Inc. Our online donations portal is provided by Give Lively LLC. Shopify, Give Lively, and their payment and service providers may process information under their own privacy policies where applicable. We encourage you to review those policies when using their services.

Our Energy and its third-party service providers involved in the transaction may receive information necessary to record your donation, fulfill your order, communicate with you about the transaction, and meet our legal and financial obligations.

Our Energy does not receive or store complete payment card numbers.

When do we share information?

We may share information provided to us and information collected automatically with authorized companies that help us operate the Site and campaign, such as website hosting providers, email platforms, analytics providers, payment processors, merchandise fulfilment providers, professional advisers, and other vendors.

These providers may include OneTrust, Google Analytics, Webflow Analyze, Braze, Shopify, KAK Global Link, Give Lively, and applicable payment processors. The Site also uses the Meta Pixel. If you allow Targeting cookies, information about your browser, device, and interactions with the site may be disclosed to Meta to measure advertising effectiveness and support targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some privacy laws may define certain disclosures of personal information to advertising partners as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for “targeted advertising,” even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, you can opt out of these uses through our Cookie Settings.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect our rights or the rights and safety of others, or in connection with a merger, restructuring, transfer, or similar organizational transaction.

We may also share information when you direct us to or give us permission.

Cookies

When you use our Services, we and other third parties may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to collect information from your browser or device. By using the Services, you consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies help websites remember information, understand how people use them, measure traffic and performance, and support certain Site features.

We may also use cookies to understand how people interact with the Site and our campaign.

We group cookies into four categories:

  • ‍Strictly Necessary: These cookies are required for core website functions and cannot be switched off through our cookie preference tool.
  • Functional: These cookies support additional website features. On BigPowerZeroDrama.com, this includes Braze, which supports our email sign-up functionality.
  • Performance: These cookies help us understand how visitors use our websites and how the sites are performing. For example, this Site uses Google Analytics and Webflow Analyze for this purpose.
  • Targeting: These cookies may be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising, understand how people interact with our campaigns after seeing an ad, and support advertising audiences or retargeting. For example, BigPowerZeroDrama.com uses the Meta Pixel for these purposes.

Depending on where you live and the technologies ultimately used on the Site, you may have choices about certain cookies or uses of your information.

Cookie Preferences: We use OneTrust to manage cookie consent and preferences. You can review or change your choices at any time through our Cookie Settings. Where required by applicable law, we also process recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control.

You may be able to refuse or disable cookies by adjusting your web browser settings. Some browsers have options that allow the visitor to control whether the browser will accept cookies, reject cookies, or notify the visitor each time a cookie is sent. Because each web browser is different, please consult the instructions provided by your web browser (typically in the “help” section). If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete these technologies, some of the functionality of the Services may no longer be available to you and any differences in service are related to the data. Deleting cookies may in some cases cancel the opt out selection in your browser.

Do-Not-Track Signals and Similar Mechanisms: Some mobile and web browsers transmit “do-not-track” signals. Because of differences in how web browsers incorporate and activate this feature, it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they are even aware of them. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.

Keeping information secure

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

No website, database, or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights relating to your personal information. These may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain information, or to opt out of certain uses or disclosures.

You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link included in those emails. To make a privacy request to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain information, contact us at [email protected] or complete this Privacy Request Form.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests, and some rights are subject to exceptions under applicable law. You may also be entitled to appeal a decision made in response to a request to exercise your rights. To appeal a decision, please respond to the email denying your request.

You may be entitled, in accordance with applicable law, to submit a request through an authorized agent. To designate an authorized agent to exercise your rights and choices on your behalf, please contact [email protected]. To protect your privacy, we may ask the agent to provide proof that you authorized them to make the request. We may also contact you directly to verify your identity or confirm that you gave the agent permission to act on your behalf, as permitted by applicable law. We will use information submitted in connection with the request only to verify and respond to the request. We may deny a request if we cannot reasonably verify your identity or the agent’s authority to act on your behalf, as permitted by applicable law.
